Making Gifts for Mothers Day 2015

Making presents for Mothers Day 2015

Doing a bit of baking.

Yummy biscuits

Learning how to ice and decorate Christmas cakes.

A really yummy present to take home.

The Lions Club of Melton very kindly donated the cakes.

The girls & volunteers helping some of the ladies from the Zonta Club of Melton put together birthing kits to send to third world countries.

This was a really good opportunity for the young girls to help make a difference. They managed to put together 200 kits which comprised of; a small sheet of plastic, a pair of rubber gloves, a small bar of soap, 3 pieces of cord & a small scalpal all together in a samll zip lock bag.

The girls have said they will be happy to assist Zonta again with this project.

We had a visit from Leianne from Bunnings. Leianne taught us how to use textas and metholated spirits on white peel and stick floor tiles to make awesome tie dye style colours. We then cut the tiles up to use as mosaics.

You can see by the pictures how they turned out.

Wednesday 10th of May 2017

Tonight we made Fairy Gardens. We purchased the bonsai dishes from Bunnings as they were on clearance. Leianne & Lesley brought in succulant cuttings from their garden & Val brought some miniature decorations.

Bunnings Melton supplied some soil & pebbles to fiish them off.

They turned out really well.

Thanks to Leianne for volunteering to give us a hand.
